Slayers daughter

The vampire slayers daughter had joined her father in an excursion, both emboldened by their recent successes. In the dark woods, she foolishly wanders too far from his side. From the misty shadows she hears a voice, "You're heart shall yet beat, your’ breast fill with air, you're body shall live on. But an empty vessel it shall be, you're soul is mine." Each word spoken is like a flaming lash struck across her body and her very existence. The pain brings her to her knees as a figure slips from the shadows to stand before her. Darkness cradles her, slowly drawing a shadowy veil across her vision and her life as an unholy scream escapes her lip. Death would be too simple of a release for the daughter of the vampire slayer, some fates are worse.

My first thought was to go the route of "un-necessary violence" and I was going to create something with the victim's heart being ripped out of their chest. I had my sources picked out and as I toyed around I thought that there are times when a more subtle approach can have as much or maybe even more impact than bloody gore splattered across a screen. Yet once again I find myself not satisfied and wanting to continue to "tweak" and "adjust," but if I succumb to that I don't think I would ever finish an image.
